The beautiful words of this song are from Rumi, a medieval Sufi Iranian poet. "Dont go back to sleep" for me is a call, an invitation for us all to be "aweken" within ourselves and in connections with others and with the world
I have choosen a celtic/gregorian style of singing which is close to my western-celtic cultural background and musical taste and yet the words of a middle eastern poet from hundreds of years ago and such melody meet each others so well...
